Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to develop electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery swapping stations (BSS) across various DDA sports complexes in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. This initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of EVs, including two, three, and four-wheelers, as well as medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
The partnership between CESL and DDA is a significant step towards promoting sustainable transportation in Delhi. By establishing a robust network of charging and battery-swapping stations, the collaboration intends to address the infrastructure challenges faced by EV users, thereby encouraging more residents to switch to electric vehicles.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, including Manohar Lal, Vishal Kapoor, and N Mohan, highlighting the government’s commitment to supporting EV infrastructure development.
This initiative aligns with the broader goals of reducing carbon emissions and fostering a cleaner, greener environment in the city.
